It's time to 'turn back time' this weekend, don't forget to Cher

Cher is returning to the stage in 2017 for a series of performances on both sides of the country.

Just like Cher, Americans will "turn back" their clocks on Sunday night as daylight saving comes to a close.

Memes of Cher, whose song If I Could Turn Back Time earned her the unofficial title of spokesperson for daylight saving time, have started swirling on social media this week.

On Twitter, many are sharing photos of Cher encouraging their friends to “Turn Back Time One Hour this Sunday,” and not to forget to “Cher with friends.”  Nothing says don't forget to set your clocks back an hour after 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6., than a Cher meme. Chering is caring, after all.

Yes, honey.

And while it may be lighter when you go to work in the morning, many people would take the darkness and forgo setting their clocks back.
