Bad Moment, Not Bad Mom
This post is a challenging one for me to write. Even though I am accustomed to wearing my heart on my sleeve in terms of what I share here, there are occasionally topics that I shy away from, for fear of being judged. Getting Sprung
Spring is finally on its way, baby! The weather this week was finally more inviting, and I found my mood initially rising with the outdoor temperature. There is something about leaving the winter coats behind as we swing out the front door in the mornings that is an immediate morale-booster. I awoke, and checked my planner first thing. Written among all of the “pay this bill” notations and upcoming “To-Do” tasks was written, “Pack lunch for #3’s field trip”.…

I debated writing this post, because it feels unbearably heavy, and I know that for some, it’ll feel too morose. But one of the goals of writing my blog is not just to make you laugh, but to be REAL. I want to share various aspects of what it’s like -at least for me- to be a parent. And this topic is one of those excruciating realities. I noticed that after my first daughter was born, news stories began to affect me in ways that they hadn’t…
