Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is this week, and to celebrate it, The Captain and I decided we’d have a quiet, romantic dinner at home… …then we laughed and laughed, because KIDS. On a serious note, we don’t typically go all out on Valentine’s Day- usually we give each other a thoughtful card and some chocolates. If the opportunity presents itself than we go out for a cup of coffee or a bite to eat, but decided early on to be flexible depending on time and babysitting availability. Happy New DAY
So… 2016 officially finito, & Betty White is still alive & kicking it, so there’s that… If your 2016 was the dumpster fire that it seemed to be for most people -based on what I’ve seen via social media, anyway- then you’re no doubt glad to have awoken this morning to a fresh start: the crisp, bright new canvas that is 2017. All That Glitters Is NOT Gold
Well, I’m here writing, and you’re here reading, so it looks like we both survived yet another holiday season- yay, us! I love putting my all into creating a special holiday experience for my family; I really do. I love decorating the house so that it feels inviting and cozy. Though I dread the actual shopping (as I’ve mentioned here), I savor the thrill of giving my loved ones gifts that I know they’ll be so excited to have. Let Them Eat Cake
This weekend was #5’s birthday, which is always a fun occasion. Of course we love to celebrate each child’s birthday, but #5’s enthusiasm is contagious. No matter what gift she receives, what decorations are hung, or what cake she’s given, everything is just THE BEST in her eyes! But that’s her personality. Everything is fun with #5!
