Gimme A Break!
Back in mid-January, The Captain and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary. How’d that happen?? It’s hard to imagine yourself having been married for 14 years when internally, you still feel like you’re about 22. But 14 years and a bajillion kids later, we’re still cute. The Captain & SixPack, circa 2000. Outside of the 10 year statute of limitations, so The Captain can still remain anonymous. Not that he looks super-old now or anything. I Was CONN-ed
Hi, everyone! Finally have a spare moment to post (spare as in: only while spooning baby food into tiny tot’s mouth), so here I am. It’s been quiet here lately. Quiet NOT as in, “oh boy, this is SO peaceful and relaxing!” No. Quiet as in, I’ve been going about my normal business of handling 1,094 tasks per day, but nothing noteworthy for intrepid observers to read about. CAAAAANNNDY. I’m selective, though. I adore the chocolate, but being health-conscious, I restrict myself to the healthy candy. Like Almond Joy: almonds. Good, healthy.…

Baby, It’s Cold Outside!
It’s fall. And before I rant about it, I’ll admit that I do love a few (very few) things about this season. I enjoy the burnished gold color of the leaves. I get a kick out of Halloween costumes. Pumpkins are cute. I loved the crispness of the air right around 4pm, which brings back fond memories of playing field hockey back in high school. I adore a good pair of skinny jeans with tall boots. That being said… Fall still sucks. There. I said it. Hating me yet? First of all… allergies. In a cruel twist of fate, I am allergic to basically the entire world around me. Literally. Trees. Grass. Dust.…
