Getting Sprung
Spring is finally on its way, baby! The weather this week was finally more inviting, and I found my mood initially rising with the outdoor temperature. There is something about leaving the winter coats behind as we swing out the front door in the mornings that is an immediate morale-booster. Not that it’s been a cakewalk as of late… I’ve felt even more overwhelmed than usual. A sink overflowing with dishes, stacks of undone laundry, and a massive pile of unpaid bills- all of it demanding attention in the midst of the childrens’ needs- it all plagues my sense of peace. Back To Busyness!
Long time, no see, eh? My apologies for the delay in posting. I’ve been skulking around the periphery of my social media outlets, but my blog posts have been wanting as of late. It’s not that there’s been nothing to write about -with this group, there’s ALWAYS something to write about- but the reality has been that although the material has been thick, the time has been short. Tomorrow I’ll Follow The Sun
(Also appeared in Huffington Post Blog as “They Won’t Remember The Clean Towels”) I missed the sun yesterday. Not as in, “aw, I wish it was sunny today. I miss sun.” Nope- we’ve had quite a few decent days here in the Northeast since winter began releasing it’s vice-like grip from our weather. But our Sunday was beautiful; a made-for-order spring day where the grass is suddenly greener, the sun is warm, inviting, and glinting like diamonds off every metallic surface. Or so it appeared.
