Can I Phone A Friend?
As you probably know from prior posts, I’ve been trying to limit my iPhone usage when around my kids, a feat far easier said than done for me. But I try to keep the phone squared away in the cabinet until ideally the kids are either a- not physically present, or b- not in need of my attention, which c- NEVER REALLY HAPPENS. Leapin’ Lizards!
Maybe the title is wrong. They WERE leapin’. Once. Now? Not so much… So I have a confession to make. Yes, you’ll likely judge me. Or call PETA to report me, and I’ll end up with a bucket of fake lizard’s blood being hurled at my coat in public. It’s time you know what a monster I am. As I’ve mentioned previously, I despise the fall, for a number of reasons. We’re in the throes of September, so our days are now dominating by all things school-related. Things like: Homework- encouraging children to do it. Complaining when they try NOT to do it. Listening to the excuses on why they’d rather NOT do it. And math…. *sigh* Getting to school on time Picking them up, on time Sports practices and meetings after school Signing permission slips, school medical forms, teacher contracts, graded tests Sharpening pencils.
