My 7-Year-Old’s New Bedtime BFF? Google Nest Mini, Apparently.
The 7y.o. is a curious little dude, and always has been. He doesn’t just want to know how things work, but NEEDS to know- and why, too. As an equally curious sort, I get it- I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, too. I Google all.the.things., & envy today’s kids growing up with that convenience. 7 LOVES to ask questions. #3’s 13th birthday has come & gone, which now brings our house’s teenage total to THREE. We have some limited experience with teenagers because 3’s older sisters are now 16 and 15, but since 3 is also our oldest boy, this is a fairly new road for us. Ah, this guy. #3 is a sweet, kind little boy with a gentle heart and extreme love for his family. When asked what he wanted for his birthday, his response? “Oh, mom, you guys are so great and always get me nice things. You can me whatever you want.” *Heart melts* And he truly meant it, too. He’s the quiet guy, unless it comes to Wii games. Then, back away. Because you’re liable to get hit, either with a remote,…

Boy, Oh Boy.
Our sixth child was born in late spring of this year. And he is a boy, which thrilled our whole family to no end. Not that we prefer one gender over another, because we really don’t. Because prior to our baby son’s (#6) arrival, our five children consisted of four girls, and one boy. Our older son is sandwiched between two older sisters and two younger ones. Our older son is a very patient, quiet little guy. Because he has to be. His short life has thus far been a lesson in keeping women happy, or trying to. Many, many women. People always ask us, but The Captain and I…
