It’s All Fun & Games Until We’re All Sharing One Bathroom- Then It’s The Hunger Games
Last month, we were down to one bathroom, and it almost killed us. It all started with the digging. When we first moved into our house, the 2nd floor had a bathroom that hadn’t been renovated since, say, 1960. That was fine with us; we accepted it “as is” & made do. It was an old, crumbling bathroom, but it fulfilled the basics. And considering that it was located on Sorority Row (aka “the second floor of our house, where all the girls live”), it got LOTS of use. Urine Trouble
This is one of those stories where you think you’ve set your standard of bizarre child behavior low enough, only to be blindsided by an unexpected “Who DOES that??” sort of experience. In this case, it involves urine, because kids. And I choose to share it because there will a small minority of you that will not only get this, but will draw a, “The more you know” sort of enlightenment from it. Tread Lightly
Before kids, I was a hard-core athlete. I LOVED to run, to push myself, to get the adrenaline flowing. Running was my favorite activity; I’d lace on the sneakers, grab my Walkman (I told you, BEFORE kids. Like a long time ago, when cassettes were still a thing.), and hit the streets for a few miles.
