Sorry for the delay in posting, people- this week was one of those weeks where I felt like I was behind the eight ball the whole time… …including grocery shopping. Quirky Cleaning
Usually, our home runs like a well-oiled machine. Or it did, until #6 was born. But I don’t blame him personally, because he’s the only person in the house under the age of ten who I seem to get along with on a daily basis. But it’s safe to say that having a new infant in the house has (temporarily ) derailed what was once a carefully coordinated household effort. ‘Dem Bones
Bones. We decided, with an impulsive dash of insanity, to spend a day visiting the Museum of Natural History in the City. Of course I mean New York City. Yes, there are plenty of cities scattered across the country. And many of them are great. (So I’ve heard over the last ten years, anyway. I wouldn’t know personally, because if there is no drive-thru window to accommodate me, then… I’m not going there.) But to people in my parts, NYC is The City. TGIF, everyone! Remember how that used to mean something, before you had kids?? Yeah. Me neither. (It’s funny to me how although I can often mix up my days of the week, I’ll never get to Friday and assume it’s any day other than Friday. That one is always correct in my mental calendar.) Fridays always tend to stick out of the week because for most, they represent the promise of a weekend; two days away from the tedium of the workplace. Two days to relax, snack, perhaps nap.
