    It Just Doesn’t Add Up

    Yesterday was one of the first nights in awhile where only two of my older three kids had math homework. One of them didn’t, because she had a unit test in math. Thank God. Because after the previous night’s study session, I’m doubly appreciative of the break from math today. I don’t know if said child passed the test. And I’m not sure that I would have, either. Yeeeaaah. Math. Ugh. Confession to make: I’m math-phobic. I’m terrible with numbers. Absolutely horrendous.     Birthday Boy

    Another busy week… and another birthday in the family. Yup, we end up celebrating a birthday roughly every five seconds or so… Tuesday was #3’s- a.k.a. The Boy- 8th birthday. Ah, this guy. #3 is a sweet, kind little boy with a gentle heart and extreme love for his family.     Last night’s post-dinnertime: a flurry of bathing, screaming, and the related tomfoolery were in effect. One child was soaking in the tub, lingering a little too long in her bath. A line was forming; we have two bathrooms, but the kids unanimously prefer the downstairs one.
